For sale: Igor – Karakachan gelding (2019) with potential for the right rider

Igor is a Karakachan gelding, born on 15-10-2019 in Bulgaria. He is chestnut in color.
Officially measured at 1.44 cm – D-pony.
Clinically examined 1.5 years ago; re-examination is allowed at the buyer's expense.

We bought Igor over a year and a half ago and fell in love with him instantly. He is an incredibly sweet pony to handle and enjoys attention. However, he is a pony that needs clarity and a consistent approach, both from the ground and under saddle.

Over the past 1.5 years, we have worked with him a lot and are making progress step by step. There is definitely potential in him, but it has proven difficult for our daughter to bring it out. Therefore, with a heavy heart, we have decided to find a suitable new home for him.

Igor is currently being ridden in dressage and has a B-dressage classification with some points. Additionally, he really enjoys jumping and Working Equitation. A lot of variety in his work clearly does him good. We also regularly take him on trail rides. He still finds hacking out exciting, especially heavy traffic and unfamiliar situations, but with a calm and consistent rider, he is making steady progress. Before we owned him, he was ridden Western, and he has talent for that as well. In short, you can go in any direction with him.

We believe that Igor will thrive best with an experienced, consistent adult rider who can provide the confidence and clarity he needs. We are convinced that he can then develop into a fine and versatile partner.
